Comida Sabrosa, the Spanish phrase which translates to 'Tasty
Food' is one of those restaurants where delight comes with passion and creativity
right from the chef's home. With their slogan 'Tickle your tastebud' the chef
caters to all your cravings, even those you weren't aware you had. With a delicacy
offered on Fridays, from Morant Bay St. Thomas. Now don't be disappointed in
the distance, deliveries are done to Kingston.
We
found it quite difficult to figure out the best dishes to order as each dish
drew us in with its description, images, and affordability. From different
flavors of wings, pasta, salads, mashed potato, and much more.
But here's what we ordered ...
The chef stated that her recommendation for 'newbies' would be wings, as the
flavors vary from spicy, spicy Cajun, barbecue, and regular.

Spicy Wings with Ripe plantain fries and corn |
We made sure to order some Spicy wings which came with ripe plantain fries
and corn. With the piquant, fiery, and burning tastes of the spices, these
wings were appetizing and aromatic in flavor. Served with warm unique fries
which congeal one's love for plantain. The plantain fries are seasoned to
perfection and with a dense starchy texture, which comes as a great substitute
for potato fries or wedges. Let's not forget, 'It's corn! A big lump of nobs
with sweet, soft, and buttery corn and its flavors melt away in your mouth.
| Chicken Pasta in Curry Coconut sauce |
|
|
The chicken pasta did not disappoint, with a creamy coconut sauce
that was mouth-watering whilst it tantalized our taste buddies with its
flavors. The combination of chicken and pasta was flavorful and
palatable.

June plum glazed Jerked turkey neck with corn and mashed potato
|
|
June plum
glazed jerked turkey neck? We couldn't pass up an opportunity to try this meal
as the name, was quite interesting. The turkey neck, whilst having an amazing
jerk taste, also had a slightly sweet tangy taste quite similar to that of a
pineapple and apple (an idea of the taste of June plum). The turkey was
juicy with flavors down to the bone. Fluffy and creamy mashed potato and
buttery corn served as amazing sides for the June plum glazed turkey.
Comida
Sabrosa was honestly an amazing experience, food was delivered promptly, and
customer service was top-tier. I would definitely recommend if you're in
the Kingston or St. Thomas vicinity.
